Research decks fail when they lead with method and bury the answer. This template puts the answer on the third slide, then gives each finding its own slide with a chart and a one-line so-what, and ends with recommendations that each point back to a numbered finding.
It is filled with sample content for a fictional customer survey, so every slide shows what good looks like: base sizes on every chart, a margin of error on the method slide, a dissenting voice among the verbatims and a decision slide at the end. Replace the sample with your own results and delete any slide you do not need.
Click Make a copy in Google Slides, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Change the client, title, date and footer text, then replace the research question, sample and margin of error on the objectives and method slides.
Replace each sample chart with your results (Insert, Chart, From Sheets, or Replace image) and rewrite the one-line so-what next to it.
Keep four to six verbatims, including one that disagrees with your main finding, and make each recommendation cite its finding number.
Delete the make-it-yours slide, then present or download a PDF with File, Download.
Ten to eighteen works for most boards and clients. This deck has eighteen including the guide and closing slides. Keep one finding per slide and move detail to an appendix.
The sample charts are images so they look the same in every account. Replace them with charts linked to Google Sheets (Insert, Chart, From Sheets), or use Replace image.
Method sits on slide five and carries the sample, dates and limits. Add an appendix with your questionnaire and a market sizing slide after the recommendations.
