Overview

A budget tracker for marketing teams and small businesses that run campaigns across several channels. The Campaigns tab holds one row per campaign, with its channel, status, planned and actual spend, and leads. The Dashboard adds up spend and leads by channel, works out cost per lead and charts planned against actual spend.

The template comes with sample campaigns so you can see how it works. Make a copy, then replace the sample rows with your own. Formulas, channel totals, the dashboard and the chart update on their own as you add rows.

Questions

Is this Marketing Budget Tracker template free?

Yes. Download the template and make a copy for your own use at no cost.

Does it work in Excel?

Yes. Download the .xlsx file from this page and open it in Microsoft Excel. The tabs, formulas, dropdowns and charts all work there.

How is cost per lead worked out?

Each campaign divides its actual spend by its leads. The dashboard does the same for each channel and for the whole plan, and shows 0 until there are leads to divide by.
