Overview

OKRs fall apart when they turn into task lists or when scores are rewritten to look green. This template keeps the summary honest: company objectives with scores first, then team key results with baseline, target and owner, an alignment map, a check-in calendar and a scoreboard of the numbers behind the scores.

The sample is Kettleby Manufacturing's Q1 2027 review. Three objectives average 0.66, one stretch objective scores 0.32, and on-time delivery moves from 91% to 94.9% against a 96% target. Replace the objectives, key results and dates with yours, and score each key result before writing commentary.

Useful for

  • A leadership team reviewing company and team OKRs at quarter end and agreeing what to carry forward
  • A team lead showing how each key result links to a company objective
  • A COO setting fortnightly check-in dates and a mid-quarter confidence check

What's included

  • Company OKR page with a summary strip, three scored objectives and a scoring rule
  • Team scorecard of five key results with targets, actuals, trend, status and next-quarter actions
  • Alignment map with a check-in trend chart, objective shares and reading notes
  • Check-in calendar with four dates and the conditions that must be met at each
  • Company scoreboard of headline metrics with red, amber and green status
  • Make it yours guide page with five replacement steps

How to use it

  1. 1

Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.

  2. 2

Replace the sample objectives with at most five of yours, each written as an outcome you could picture, and give every key result a baseline, target and one owner.

  3. 3

Score each key result from 0.0 to 1.0 at quarter end before writing any commentary, and delete the alignment links if you run team-only OKRs.

  4. 4

Set your check-in dates and a mid-quarter confidence rating, then copy the two lessons that change behaviour into next quarter's draft.

  5. 5

Delete the guide page, then share the summary with your leadership team or present it.

Questions

What is a good OKR score?

For stretch goals, 0.6 to 0.7 is a good result and 1.0 usually means the target was too easy. The sample company average is 0.66, with one objective at 0.32 carried forward.

Should OKR scores affect pay?

It is better not to. When scores drive pay, teams sandbag their targets. Use them to learn and to decide what to carry, reset or drop, as the sample does.

Are the company, people and figures real?

No. Kettleby Manufacturing, its people, teams and every figure are fictional sample data. Replace them with your own before sharing the summary.
