A consulting invoice has one job: get paid correctly and on time. This template puts the invoice number, bill-to details and PO reference at the top, then days and rates, itemised expenses, tax, total due and payment instructions, in the order an accounts payable clerk checks them.
The sample is a 12-day operations review billed by Inkberry Holdings at $950 a day, with $1,500 of itemised expenses, 8% sales tax and a $14,040 total due in 30 days. Replace the supplier details, PO reference, line items, tax rate and bank details with your own, then check that every total adds up.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Replace the supplier header with your trading name, address and tax ID, then set your invoice number, issue date and the customer's PO reference.
Replace the line items and check that the net, tax and total columns add up. Use one tax rate on one base.
Enter payment terms, the due date and bank details exactly as the customer has them on file.
Delete the guide page and any rows you do not use, then export a PDF to share or send.
A unique invoice number, your name and tax ID, the customer's name, the date, a description of the work, the tax charged, the total due and how to pay. Add the PO reference if the customer uses one.
List each expense as its own line with a short description, so the customer can match it to a receipt. Keep tax on one base, then show the subtotal, tax and total due.
No. Inkberry Holdings, Marlowe Logistics, the people, the PO number and every amount are fictional sample content. Replace all of it with your own details.
