A commercial invoice that misses the origin, a weight or an invoice number can hold a shipment at the border and delay payment. This template puts the exporter, consignee, goods, origin, weights, values and declaration on three pages, so customs and the customer's accounts team find everything quickly.
The sample is from Fallowfield Group, a fictional exporter, invoicing £10,500 of wool throws, cushion covers and rugs to a buyer in Oslo. Goods of £9,960 plus £540 freight add up, weights reconcile and payment terms are stated. Replace the parties, goods, codes and values with yours.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Replace the exporter and consignee details with yours, and set the invoice number and date.
Enter your goods with quantities, unit prices, HS codes and weights, and check that the lines add up to the total.
Update the terms, due date, payment reference and declaration, and have the signatory sign it.
Delete the Make it yours page, then send the invoice with the packing list.
Yes. Make a copy in Google Docs and edit it as you like. There is no sign-up on this site and no cost.
No. Fallowfield Group, Nordvik Interiors, the people, email addresses and every price and weight are fictional and only show how a finished invoice reads.
No. Customs rules, HS codes and VAT treatment differ by country and product. Check the details with your freight forwarder or customs agent before you ship.
