Launches slip when product, marketing and sales each keep their own dates. This product launch timeline template puts one countdown in front of the team and sponsor: the key milestones, a swimlane roadmap with a today marker, who owns each workstream, what depends on what, the launch week plan and the reviews that follow.
The sample counts down 14 weeks to a fictional September 14, 2027 launch of Tallyscale 2 at Orchardby Works, with five milestones, four lanes, a critical path of 9 weeks and fixed dates marked apart from estimates. Replace the dates, the lane names and the owners with your own, add the assumptions under the chart, and delete any task nobody will track.
Click Make a copy in Google Slides, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Set the start and end of the axis, relabel the lanes with your workstreams, and replace the milestone dates.
Mark the fixed dates in a different color and keep the critical path to tasks with zero float.
Add a note under the roadmap listing the assumptions your dates depend on, and remove tasks no one will track.
Delete the Make it yours slide, then share or present.
