Small businesses and sole traders lose deals when a proposal opens with 'about us', hides the price in prose or offers a single option that invites a competing quote. This template puts the need, the offer and the price on one page, then adds a checklist of next steps with owners and dates, so the buyer can decide without another meeting.
The sample is a website proposal from Valemont Solutions to a bakery: three options at $4,800, $7,200 and $10,400, the middle one recommended, a 30/40/30 payment split and a validity date of April 11, 2027. Replace the buyer's words, the options, fees, dates and terms with your own, then delete the guide page.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Rewrite the need using the buyer's own phrases from discovery and quote one number they gave you.
Enter your options and fees, mark the one you recommend and check that the payment split adds up to the total.
Replace the dates, owners and terms with your own, including the validity date and your cancellation rule.
Delete the Make it yours page, then send the proposal as a PDF or a Google Docs link.
A single price invites a competing quote. Three options, with the middle one recommended, let the buyer choose a size of project instead of deciding whether to hire you.
No. Valemont Solutions, Larkfield Bakery, the people and every figure are fictional and exist only to show a clear, priced one-page proposal.
Yes. Replace the plan names, features and fees with your own scope, such as a retainer, a training day or a cleaning contract, and keep the order of need, offer, price and next steps.
