Overview

This key account planning template is a ready-made Google Slides deck for account teams that present a large client to internal leaders. It covers the account summary, whitespace, opportunities, the relationship map and the asks across ten slides, with risks named candidly and a clear request for support.

Each slide uses sample figures for Alderbrook Solutions, a fictional software firm, and a fictional client called Northgate Retail with £2.4M of annual spend. Replace the client, figures and people with your own, and score each relationship honestly. Keep the asks slide, since leaders can only help with requests they can see.

Questions

Are the client and people real?

No. Alderbrook Solutions, Northgate Retail, its executives and every figure are fictional sample content, written to show a finished account plan.

Can I share it with the client?

No. The plan is internal and candid about risks and people. Build a separate client-facing summary from the goals and priorities, and keep this deck inside the company.

How often should the plan be updated?

Update it each quarter, and after any change in the client's leadership, a major renewal or a lost opportunity, so the asks stay current.
