Key Account Plan

Account plans fail when they describe the client's company instead of their goals, map only the day-to-day contact and never get reviewed. This document keeps the whole account on seven pages: what the client wants, the services you deliver, a health score and relationship map, growth ideas with values, and a dated plan to renewal.
The sample follows Fallowfield Supply, a fictional trade supplier worth £1.8M a year to the agency, with a 33% share of wallet, three growth ideas worth £1.4M and a renewal due on 30 September 2027. Replace the revenue, stakeholders, opportunities and dates with your own.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Replace the client goals, revenue, products held and contract dates with the client's real figures.
Redraw the relationship map with each stakeholder's name, strength out of 5 and your named owner.
Enter each growth idea with a value, a probability and a next step, and drop the weak ones.
Delete the Make it yours page, then share the plan with your account team.
No. Fallowfield Supply, its people and every figure are fictional. They show what a finished account plan looks like and should be replaced with your own client's data.
Use 1 to 5 for each stakeholder, and be candid. A weak score for the economic buyer, as in the sample, tells the team where to invest time before a renewal.
Quarterly at least. Set the review date and a named executive sponsor in the plan, and update the health score and opportunity odds each time.
