Overview

This template tracks stock for an office, shop or small store. The Products tab lists each product with its unit cost and reorder level. The Movements tab is the log of stock coming in and going out, with the date, product, quantity and a reference to the order or request.

Stock on hand, stock value and the stock level for each product calculate from the movements. The Dashboard shows the number of products, the value of the stock and how many items are low, with a chart of units in and out.

It comes with sample data. Make a copy, then replace the sample rows with your own products and movements. Formulas, dropdowns and charts update on their own.

Questions

Is this Stock Control Sheet template free?

Yes. Download the template and use it in Google Sheets or Excel at no cost.

Does it work in Excel?

Yes. Download the .xlsx file to open it in Excel. The formulas, dropdowns and highlights work in both Excel and Google Sheets.

How is the stock on hand worked out?

It is the total of In movements minus the total of Out movements for that product. If the count is wrong, add a movement for the difference rather than typing over the figure.
