Overview

Founders testing an idea often write a 30-page plan nobody updates, or a revenue forecast built from a market-share percentage. This template puts the plan on one page: headline figures first, then four numbered findings that cover the problem, the solution, the customers and the money. Because every box holds one claim and its number, the weakest assumption is easy to spot and revise.

The sample follows Jasperfield Group, a fictional mobile bike repair business in Leeds, asking for £85,000 to run two vans, with revenue built from customers, price and bookings: 1,500 riders, 3,300 services at £80 each and £264,000 in year one. Replace the business, build your own revenue from customer numbers, rewrite the funding ask line by line and keep the summary to one page.

Questions

Is one page enough for a business plan?

It is enough to test an idea and to open a conversation with a lender or investor. If they ask for more, expand the sections they ask about rather than padding the rest.

How should I work out my revenue figure?

Build it bottom-up: customers you can reach, the share who will buy, the price and how often they buy. Avoid starting from a percentage of a large market.

Are the company, people and figures real?

No. Jasperfield Group, its people, email addresses and every figure are fictional sample content. Replace them with your own business details before you share the plan.
