Customers churn early when the handover from sales is vague and only the vendor's tasks are written down. This plan puts both sides on one page: goals and the date of first value, five dated milestones, a RACI for every task, a training plan for every role and a scorecard that shows whether onboarding worked.
The sample follows Harlow Veterinary Group, a new customer with 80 licensed users across 6 clinics, from kickoff on March 15, 2027 to go-live on April 30 and a 30-day review on May 28. Replace the customer, dates, owners, user counts and targets with your own, and keep the review meeting.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Write the customer's goals and the date you expect them to see first value, then set milestones with dates and owners at both organizations.
Replace the training plan with the roles, sessions and materials this customer needs, and list the data you need from them and by when.
Update the success measures and targets, then add the 30-day review meeting and the person who will chair it.
Delete the guide page, then share the plan with the customer's sponsor and project lead.
Most plans run 30 to 90 days, with go-live around day 45 to 60 and a review about 30 days after go-live. The sample uses 47 days to go-live and a review on day 75.
A plan that lists only the vendor's work hides customer delays. The RACI and milestones name an owner on both sides, so a late data export is visible early.
No. Orchardby Solutions, Harlow Veterinary Group, the people and every figure are fictional sample data. Replace all of them with your own details.
