Small Grant Application
Docs + Word6 pages
Free
This grant application template for Google Docs helps artists and arts organizations ask a funder for support. It follows the order most panels read in: artistic vision, activity, audiences, engagement and budget, across seven designed pages. Use it as a full grant proposal template when the guidelines ask for a narrative, or cut it down to a letter of inquiry template when they ask for a short first contact.
Every page is filled with sample content for Ashdown Park Works, a fictional arts nonprofit running a two-year printmaking program. The sample shows how a finished proposal reads: a stated vision, a $252k budget with each line calculated, and a grant budget justification in plain words. Replace the names, figures and images with your own, and check every number against the funder's criteria before you submit.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Replace Ashdown Park Works and the sample names, figures and dates with your organization's own.
Check the budget table so the total matches your request plus match, then recheck each line's rate and quantity.
Read the funder's guidelines, then align the page headings with their criteria and word limits.
Delete the guide page, then share the document with reviewers or present it.
