Most negotiation training explains tactics and then ends, so reps return to the call with the old habits. This deck is built for practice: each slide explains one idea, shows it on a worked example, and then gives the group a task. It moves from preparation and interests through trade-offs and tactics to a role-play scored against a rubric.
The sample is for Netherby Distribution, a wholesale distributor, and runs a half-day course with a shared trade table, four tactics and a role-play about a supply contract. Every name, price and figure is fictional. Replace the examples with real calls and deals from your own team, rewrite the role-play with your product and buyer, and set the pass mark to your coaching standard.
Click Make a copy in Google Slides, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Set the learning objectives as things a rep will do on their next call, then check the examples.
Replace the examples with real calls, emails or deals from your team, anonymised.
Rewrite the role-play with your product, personas and time limits, and update the rubric.
Delete the guide slide, then share the deck with trainers and run the course with a manager follow-up.
Yes. Netherby Distribution, the trainers, the buyers and every offer and price in this deck are fictional. Replace them with real examples from your own team, anonymised, before you run a course.
At least 40% of the time should be practice. A rep who only hears the tactics will not use them on a call, so each module should end in a task that the group completes.
Use a rubric from 0 to 4 on five criteria, such as preparation, opening offer, trades, silence and close. Score the behaviour on the call, not how well the trainee remembered the slides.
