Overview

This free Google Docs template gives an organisation a clear anti-bribery policy that staff can read and an auditor can test. It sets out the policy statements, the rules on gifts and hospitality, the checks needed for third parties, how concerns are reported and handled, and the training that supports it. Each rule gives its reason, so the grey areas are easier to judge.

The sample is the policy for Bramblewood Group, a fictional organisation, with invented gift limits, contacts and training dates. Replace the thresholds, contacts and approval details with your own, have your legal team check the wording against the law where you operate, and record the approver and review date on the cover.

Questions

Is a written policy enough on its own?

No. A policy needs training, a gifts register, third-party checks and a working reporting route. Regulators look for evidence that the rules are used, not only that they are written down.

Are Bramblewood Group and the people real?

No. Bramblewood Group, its contacts, thresholds, training dates and cases are fictional sample data. Replace them with your own details before the policy is issued.

How often should the policy be reviewed?

At least every 12 to 24 months, and after any significant case, change in law or change in the business. Record each version so you can show what applied on any date.
