Overview

This apprenticeship handbook template is a ready-made Google Docs document for employers who recruit paid apprentices and need to explain the route clearly. It covers what the programme is, the training stages, pay and conditions, progression measures and how to apply, across seven designed pages.

Each page carries sample figures for Kettleby Foods, a fictional food manufacturer, including a £19,800 starting salary and a 92% completion rate. Replace the pay, dates and roles with your own, and check the entry rules with your recruiters. The apply page should show the real closing date, since applicants plan around it.

Questions

Are the company and people real?

No. Kettleby Foods, its apprentices, pay figures and survey results are fictional sample data, written to show a finished programme guide.

Can I use it for an internship rather than an apprenticeship?

Yes, but an internship has different pay and training rules. Check the law where you operate, and replace the stages and pay with what your programme really offers.

Do applicants need a degree?

No. Our entry rules ask for five GCSEs or an equivalent and the right to work in the UK, and we value practical experience as much as grades.
