Overview

This workplace stress review template is a ready-made Google Docs document for employers who must manage work-related stress. It covers the six areas that drive stress, from demands and control to change, plus the support on offer, the risk register and an action plan, across nine designed pages.

Each page carries sample figures for Wrenfield Group, a fictional employer with 2,400 staff across six sites, and fictional people and contacts. Replace the causes, risks and contacts with your own, and check the wording with occupational health before you publish. Keep the actions table, since it shows that the review led to change.

Useful for

  • A yearly review of stress risks across a contact centre
  • Checking the impact of a restructure on managers and their teams
  • Setting up support after a rise in long-term absence

Questions

Are the company and people real?

No. Wrenfield Group, its people, contacts and survey figures are fictional sample data, written to show a finished assessment.

Does this replace an assessment by an expert?

No. It structures the review, but a competent person should assess the workplace, and the law requires you to act on the findings.

How often should we repeat it?

At least once a year, and again after any major change such as a restructure, a new shift pattern or a rise in long-term absence.
