Overview

Hospital staff work nights, weekends and split shifts, so news travels badly by email alone. This newsletter template gathers the chief executive's decisions, ward news, a clinical learning day, a wellbeing feature and thank yous into seven pages that can be read in ten minutes.

The sample is written for a fictional organisation, Alderbrook Logistics, and shows a spring issue: a £1.4M winter fund, a falls reduction on Ward 7 and a record 214 days without a serious safety incident. Replace the names, dates and figures with your own and delete any page you cannot fill.

Useful for

  • A monthly staff bulletin that explains what the leadership team decided and why
  • A ward and department round-up with dates to book across the next six weeks
  • A recognition issue that thanks named teams and invites colleagues to nominate others

What's included

  • A chief executive page with three headline figures and four decisions explained
  • A ward news page with four short stories and a table of upcoming dates
  • An agenda page for a clinical learning day, with a checklist of what to do before it
  • A wellbeing feature opener for night and shift workers
  • A thank-you article and a page of quick ways to give recognition
  • A guide page for replacing the sample content

Questions

Is this hospital staff newsletter template free?

Yes. Make a copy in Google Docs and edit it as you like. There is no sign-up on this site and no cost.

Is the sample content real?

No. Alderbrook Logistics, its staff, email addresses and every figure, date and patient comment are fictional and only show what a finished issue looks like.

Can I use patient or staff photos?

Only with written consent, which matters most in clinical areas. The sample photos are placeholders for you to replace with images you have permission to use.
