Sales tracker templates

A sales tracker records each sale, the commission it earns and the orders still waiting to be fulfilled. Sales teams and small shops use it to measure results and pay commission accurately.

Include date and customer, product or service, quantity and value, order status, commission rate and amount, and targets and totals. Calculate commission from the same written rule every month, and keep the rule at the top of the sheet so every payment can be checked.

Commission is usually a percentage of sales, a flat amount per sale, or a higher rate once a target is passed. Write the rule down so each payment can be checked against it.

Record each order with its date, items, due date and status, such as received, packed or shipped. Review open orders daily so late ones are caught early.

Check them weekly to catch problems early, and review them monthly against target. Compare each period with the same period last year where you have the data.
