Steering Committee Deck

A programme board meets to decide, not to listen to status. This deck puts the decisions on the closing slide, the evidence on the slides before it, and keeps the whole pack readable in a 75-minute meeting: status, project summaries, benefits, risks and escalations.
The sample follows a fictional customer platform programme at Thistledown Digital: four projects, an $8.4M budget forecast 2.1% over, benefits at 42% of plan and five risks. It asks the board for three decisions. Replace the projects, figures and names with your own and keep the asks short.
Click Make a copy in Google Slides, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Replace Thistledown Digital, the programme name and the meeting date with your own.
Enter your own budget, spend, benefits and project status, using the tolerances your board agreed.
Rewrite the risks, escalations and decisions so each decision has an owner and a date.
Delete the guide slide, then share or present the deck.
No. Thistledown Digital, every person named and every figure are fictional sample data. Replace them with your own programme details before you share the deck.
Two to four. The sample asks for three, each with a recommendation. If you need more, the board will not have time to discuss them properly, so split the pack.
Tolerances are limits the board agrees in advance, such as 10% on cost and 4 weeks on schedule. A project inside them continues; outside them it is escalated for a decision.
