Hiring panels often decide on gut feel and cannot explain the choice later. This interview scorecard sets out the criteria, a 1 to 5 score for each competency and a clear decision box, so every candidate is judged the same way and the debrief starts from evidence.
The sample follows Tallowfield Group, a fictional company, hiring an operations manager from three candidates. It shows yes or no checks, a score table with totals, a gap rule and the decision with next steps. Replace the role, competencies, scores and names with your own.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Write the role's four to six criteria from the job description and put each candidate in a column.
Replace the competencies and scores with your own, and keep the 1 to 5 anchors written down for every competency.
Record the decision, the sign-off question and the next steps with owners and dates.
Delete the Make it yours page, then share the scorecard with the panel.

No. Tallowfield Group, the candidates, the panel and every score are fictional and only show how a finished scorecard reads.
Yes. Each panelist should submit scores against the anchors first. Then discuss any gap of one point or more, so the loudest voice does not set the result.
