After a crowdfunding campaign, backers want three things: proof the product is being made, firm delivery dates and a clear account of the money. This template covers all three in six pages: a cover, a progress scorecard, a production diagram, a delivery timeline with a Gantt chart, a spending summary and a make-it-yours guide. Each page is written for a backer who has paid in advance and wants to know where things stand.
The sample shows Northfold Advisory reporting on a fictional lamp campaign: £146k spent of the pledges from 3,100 backers, with 41% of spend on manufacturing and 18% on shipping. It includes a late shipment and a line that finished £4k under plan. Replace the figures and scorecard rows with your own, match the spending table to your budget, and keep any delay in the report.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Open the template, pick File and then Make a copy; the new file lands in your own Google Drive, ready to edit.
Enter your production and delivery figures against the dates you promised backers, and keep the misses in.
Match the spending table to your campaign budget and explain any line that differs by more than 10%.
Delete the guide page, then share the update with backers or present it at your next update call.
Yes. Pick File, then Make a copy, and the update becomes yours to change. There is no account to open and no fee for the template.
Yes. Backers respond better to a named delay with a new date than to silence, so the scorecard has a status column for every target.
No. The Fennick Lamp campaign, Northfold Advisory, the people and every total are invented for illustration. Overwrite them with your own before a backer sees the update.
