Owners and boards often negotiate, sell or raise money with a single number nobody can defend. This company valuation template gives you a supported range instead. It is organised as a cover, a purpose page, a business overview, a methods page, a DCF page with a football field style summary, a comparables page, a conclusion and a short guide.
The sample values a fictional engineering firm, Tarn Hill Precision Ltd, at £19M to £23M with a midpoint of £21M, using normalised EBITDA of £3.2M. Replace the company, the adjustments, the WACC and growth assumptions, and the comparables with your own, and delete any page that does not match your purpose.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
State your purpose, valuation date and standard of value on the second page, then enter your normalised earnings and each adjustment.
Replace the comparables with companies that match your size and business model, and enter your own WACC and terminal growth.
Update the conclusion range so it matches the three methods, and keep the limitations that apply.
Delete the guide page, then share the report or present it.
Each method rests on assumptions, so the honest output is a range. The report shows the low, base and high cases and explains how they were reconciled.
It is a sample layout, not advice. Have a qualified valuer review any report before you rely on it for a sale, tax or dispute.
No. Alderbrook Capital, Tarn Hill Precision Ltd, the people and every figure are fictional and made up for the example. Replace them with your own.
