Overview

This fraud prevention policy template is a ready-made Google Docs manual for finance and compliance teams that must set limits, roles and controls in writing. It covers document control, responsibilities, red flags, reporting and investigation across seven designed pages, in numbered statements that a reader can apply.

Each page carries sample limits, names and cases for Netherby Group, a fictional holding company, including approval limits of $2,500, $10,000 and $50,000. Replace them with your own delegation of authority, and have counsel review the reporting route before issue. The investigation page is the one people read after an incident, so keep it plain.

Questions

Are the group and people real?

No. Netherby Group, its finance staff, limits, cases and recovered sums are fictional sample material, written to show a finished policy.

Does a policy replace the controls?

No. A policy states the rules. The controls, such as segregation of duties and bank checks, must be built into systems and tested each year.

How often should it be reviewed?

At least once a year, and earlier after any fraud case, system change or change in approval limits, with each version recorded in the history table.
