Agencies juggle confidential client work, tight timesheets and a busy studio, and new starters often ask the same questions in their first week. This Google Docs template answers them in one organised document. It opens with a welcome letter and our values, then covers client confidentiality, timesheets and studio etiquette, followed by pay and leave and a conduct page with speaking-up routes. Each page has a clear heading, so staff can jump to the rule they need.
The sample shows Cinderfield Services, a fictional digital and creative agency of 22 people in Leeds, and uses made-up names, figures and contacts throughout. Its hours, leave, sick pay and notice periods are examples, not terms to copy. Before you share it, replace the welcome letter and version details, check each figure against your contracts and current employment law, and fill the contacts table with your own people.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Fill in the company name and owner, then record the edition and next review date on the title page and the welcome page.
Replace the sample hours, leave, sick pay and notice figures with the terms in your own contracts.
Fill the contacts and the acknowledgement process, then check the wording with a lawyer.
Delete the guide page and share the handbook with staff, or present it at your induction.
