A treasurer's report only helps when it explains the month: why revenue moved, where the costs went, what cash will do and what the committee must decide. This template follows that order, with an executive summary, income and spending pages, a line-by-line variance table and a recommendations page with a sign-off box. The sample uses a fictional firm, Greystone Advisory, and works just as well for a club or charity committee.
The sample reports February 2027 for Greystone Advisory: revenue of £14.6M, 1.8 percent above budget, and an EBITDA margin of 14.1 percent. Every figure is sample data and every total adds up, so you can see how a variance should be explained. Replace the ledger figures and the causes, then update the forecast range and the asks before the report goes out.
Click Make a copy in Google Docs, then confirm on the Google page. The copy is saved to your own Google Drive.
Set the month, then replace the headline with the one message the leadership team must hear.
Enter actual and budget figures for each line, and write a cause for every material variance.
Check that the totals add up, then update the forecast range and the assumptions that changed.
Delete the guide page, then share the report or present it to the committee.
Yes. Copying the report into your Google Drive is free, and every table stays open for the month's new figures.
No. Greystone Advisory, its staff and every figure are fictional sample data, so replace them with your own ledger before the report goes out.
Yes. Replace the revenue and cost lines with your own income and spend, keep the variance table and the asks, and the layout works for a committee or AGM report.
